Heart Anniversary:
June 24, 1974 (Open Heart Surgery)
February 19, 2009 (Open Heart Surgery)

As a serving member in the Armed Forces I was transferred from NDMC to the Ottawa Civic Hospital where I underwent emergency open heart surgery ( 2 x CABC) on 24 Jun 74 by the late Dr. Wilbert Keon. To this day I am ever so thankful to him. I have seen my children of 4 grow up, married and have children of their own. There are now 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. On 19 Feb 09 I underwent a 2nd operation to perform 3 x CABC by Dr. Ruben. On 7th of April of this year my wife and I celebrated our 65th Wedding Anniversary. To have such a worldwide known institution here in Ottawa is a blessing. My heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the OHI. As they say in the military “BRAVO ZULU”!!
