Cette composante essentielle des soins fournit aux patients les outils pour ralentir la progression de la maladie, r\u00e9duire le risque de r\u00e9cidive et g\u00e9rer leurs propres soins \u00e0 long terme. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la promotion de saines habitudes de vie, y compris l\u2019exercice, le programme peut ajouter de nombreuses belles ann\u00e9es \u00e0 la vie des participants. <br \/><br \/><strong>Le programme sur place se d\u00e9roule dans un espace lumineux et a\u00e9r\u00e9 comprenant de l\u2019\u00e9quipement de conditionnement physique et une piste de marche. Des listes d\u2019\u00e9coute incluant la musique d\u2019ABBA et d\u2019autres chansons entra\u00eenantes ont aussi un effet motivant.<\/strong> Comme l\u2019\u00e2ge des participants varie de 19 \u00e0 98 ans, Melanie et le personnel se font un plaisir de jouer au DJ et de r\u00e9pondre aux demandes sp\u00e9ciales. \u00ab\u2009Notre but est de mettre la maladie K.O. et de r\u00e9duire le risque de retour \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital. Notre \u00e9quipe multidisciplinaire comprend entre autres des physioth\u00e9rapeutes, des di\u00e9t\u00e9tistes et des psychologues. Nous offrons des \u00e9valuations, des ressources, du suivi, du soutien \u00e9motionnel et des programmes d\u2019exercices. Nous mettons aussi fortement l\u2019accent sur l\u2019\u00e9ducation afin d\u2019aider les patients \u00e0 prendre leur sant\u00e9 cardiaque en main.\u2009\u00bb<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d034d80 elementor-widget elementor-widget-button\" data-id=\"d034d80\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"button.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-button-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-button elementor-button-link elementor-size-sm\" href=\"https:\/\/foundation.ottawaheart.ca\/fr\/semaine-nationale-des-soins-infirmiers\/\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-content-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-text\">DONNER<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a0c1670 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a0c1670\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Lorsqu\u2019on lui demande ce qu\u2019elle aime le plus dans son travail, Melanie \u00e9voque les patients : <strong>\u00ab\u2009Ces gens-l\u00e0 sont heureux d\u2019avoir re\u00e7u une deuxi\u00e8me chance et tr\u00e8s motiv\u00e9s \u00e0 changer leur mode de vie.<\/strong> Certains veulent se r\u00e9tablir pour voir leurs petits-enfants grandir. D\u2019autres veulent jouer au golf, courir, voyager, travailler et rester autonomes. Tout le monde a ses raisons. \u00bb<\/p><p><strong>\u00ab \u00c7a me rend heureuse de les voir gagner en force et en confiance, et sourire.<\/strong> Ce sont des gens merveilleux, tr\u00e8s reconnaissants, dit-elle. Parfois, ce que je consid\u00e8re comme un tout petit geste a un grand impact et fait toute la diff\u00e9rence. Ce que j\u2019adore, c\u2019est r\u00e9ussir \u00e0 faire rire une personne d\u00e9prim\u00e9e. \u00c0 l\u2019universit\u00e9, j\u2019ai d\u00e9chir\u00e9 et conserv\u00e9 une page d\u2019un magazine qui disait : \u201cLe rire est le meilleur des rem\u00e8des.\u201d Je continue de croire que c\u2019est vrai. Je veux que nos patients prennent soin de leur c\u0153ur sans jamais oublier de s\u2019amuser.\u2009\u00bb<\/p><p>Attir\u00e9e au d\u00e9but par les soins infirmiers en raison du plaisir qu\u2019elle \u00e9prouve \u00e0 aider les autres, <strong>Melanie y voit aussi une carri\u00e8re gratifiante et stimulante o\u00f9 on peut vraiment changer les choses.<\/strong><br \/><br \/>Ayant r\u00e9cemment re\u00e7u le prestigieux prix Heather Sherrard, Melanie et son \u00e9quipe ont con\u00e7u un projet de cours d\u2019exercices sur chaise. Le cours, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9 depuis, a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u pour am\u00e9liorer l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la r\u00e9adaptation cardiovasculaire ainsi que la qualit\u00e9 de vie et l\u2019autonomie des patients cardiaques fragiles dont la situation m\u00e9dicale est complexe.<\/p><p><strong>D\u00e9crivant le personnel de l\u2019Institut de cardiologie comme \u00ab\u2009une petite famille\u2009\u00bb, Melanie pr\u00e9cise que la culture inspirante et l\u2019ambiance chaleureuse ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 ses deux d\u00e9cennies d\u2019\u00e9panouissement : \u00ab\u2009Aujourd\u2019hui, j\u2019ai la chance de voir les gens se r\u00e9tablir plus rapidement gr\u00e2ce aux avanc\u00e9es dans les soins et les m\u00e9dicaments.<\/strong> Il existe \u00e9galement de nombreuses interventions \u00e0 effraction minimale qui r\u00e9duisent le temps pass\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital et le risque de complications et d\u2019infections.
