Aruna Rajula

Aruna is currently a Manager at the Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development. Previously, Aruna spent time at Natural Resources Canada and the Privy Council Office in progressively senior roles.  She has considerable experience providing analysis and recommendations on complex, high-profile policy issues, working closely with stakeholders, leading teams, and mediating competing interests.

Aruna holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and a Masters in International Affairs from Carleton University.

Aruna has organized a number of charity events in the Ottawa area to benefit local and international non-profit organizations, which have raised more than $50,000. She lives in Ottawa with her husband and two young kids. Aruna is looking forward to supporting the vision of the Ottawa Heart Institute – putting patients first while advancing cardiovascular care and saving lives in our community.
